What to Wear
In preparation for the session the client remains fully clothed whilst lying on the therapy table. As we monitor and test various muscles within the body, ‘active wear’, like pants or leggings that you would wear to yoga or the gym are perfect. For females, if your session is after work or school, please bring pants or leggings to change into for your comfort. Socks and shoes are removed for the session.
How you may feel and be different after a session
What clients usually feel after a session and in the days to follow will depend entirely on their body as each person is individual. Often clients get immediate results and find they have a huge shift in the first session. It’s common to experience physical, emotional and mental changes as during this time things are shifting energetically. Drink plenty of clean filtered or distilled water and be gentle on yourself. It can take a few days for things to fully fall into place after the session so trust your body and mind to do that.
Being transient, some reactions below may only last a few days and often subside leaving you with a sense of balance, energy and health. Here are some of the affects you might feel;
- Feeling lighter and less weighed down – like sitting on a cloud of fairy floss
- Stress free – calmer and relaxed, less anxious and more centred
- More energy – motivated and energised, go get’m attitude!
- Less energy – Sleepy, exhausted and in need of recuperation. Feeling like you have been ‘hit by a truck’
- Emotional outbursts – crying or laughing, screaming or silence
- Physical postural body changes – the way you sit, stand or walk
- Sleeping – changes in sleep patterns and dreams can become more vivid
- Understanding yourself on a deeper level – self-confidence, self-worth, self-awareness
A Healing Crisis
A healing crisis is a powerful catharsis and reset of your mind, body, emotions, and spirit. It is generally a transit—not a dark night of the soul. In other words, you’ll move through it and find your feet under you once again, conscious of the evolved Self on the other side.
Some clients may experience a healing crisis anywhere from 1 day to 2 weeks. When it occurs, a healing crisis includes physical, mental, emotional and spiritual/energetic components.
When your moving through a healing crisis do your best to be present with what is happening within, talk to your body, and let it know that it can release, let go, and integrate without pain. Allow your emotions to move through without judging them or digging deep to determine the event or experience that might be behind the feelings. The emotion comes from all sorts of times, places, events, and interactions. The healing crisis is releasing residual emotion. Trust yourself…if it feels weird, but you think you’re okay, trust that. If you feel like you need to reach out for support, trust that. Be gentle with yourself…validate your amazing ability to heal, evolve, release, and let go. Eat nourishing foods; take baths; sit outside under the stars; meditate; take naps. Self-nurturing and self-care is essential when you’re moving through a deep energetic integration.
Nutrition / Health related session
Please inform us at the time of scheduling of any health conditions, allergies, special needs or concerns you have. Your safety is important & some services may not be appropriate for certain conditions.
If you have booked your nutritional Kinesiology session to address current bio-chemical issues, e.g. food sensitivities, allergies, nutritional deficiencies, digestive disorders, immune/autoimmune deficiencies, hormones and any other health related concerns, you may be asked to bring with you foods, supplements or medications that you have been taking to be tested against your body in order to identify the culprit, eliminate it and restore your whole being to health and vitality.
During the session, please ensure all electronic devices; mobiles, laptops, iPads etc are to be switched off as to not disrupt the session.
